ICE Out! UU Solidarity Network’s National Week of Action

In this time of moral crisis, our faith calls us to live our values through courageous and prophetic action. This week, we continue this faithful work through the UU Solidarity Initiative’s Extended Week of Action against the violent, immoral actions of ICE.

Already this month, UUs have engaged in over 500 hours of action through daily Action Hours hosted by State Action Networks and national UU organizations like UUs for Social Justice and the UU Service Committee. Together we have called for:

– No More ICE Funding in the DHS Budget

– The End to Corporate Complicity with ICE

– The Closure of Dilley Detention Center in Texas and the release of the children and families being detained there.

– Justice for Renee Good, Alex Pretti and all those who have been killed by ICE

And the 30 Days of Love Phone Call Blitz (based on UU Justice NC’s Phone Blitz Structure) has engaged 90 UU congregations across the country in making over 5,400 calls to key 3 members of congress calling for no more ICE funding in the DHS budget.
