We believe that we have the moral responsibility to do together what we cannot do alone.
UU Justice NC is proud to partner with NC organizations and coalitions who are aligned with our UU values and doing transformative work in our state.

Carolina Jews for Justice
CJJ is a grassroots network that combines advocacy and education to organize a non-partisan Jewish voice for justice in North Carolina. Since 2017 we have proudly partnered with CJJ on a range of justice issues including immigration, voting rights, and fighting for healthcare, housing and workers rights within our state’s budget. In 2021, we collaborated with CJJ on events fighting for federal voting rights legislation and creating more safety and joy at the polls. We are also delighted to have CJJ members as regular participants at Friday Action Hour.
In the fall of 2022 we're excited to partner with CJJ for our Carolina Jews and UUs Faith in Action Phone Bank! Eight Weeks of Phone Banking in partnership with the New North Carolina Project Foundation!

People’s Budget NC
The People’s Budget NC Coalition launched in the early days of 2021. We saw that, in the midst of a pandemic, with millions of North Carolinians suffering, the state had billions of dollars available in its bank account. Yet instead of investing it in our people and communities, elected officials continued to stash money away in the name of fiscal responsibility.
We knew that this was morally unacceptable and so the People's Budget NC was created. This coalition is specifically devoted to our state’s budget. We works to activate a broad base to pass a budget that is made for the people and by the people.
We believe that a budget is a moral document. A reflection of our values. We strive to be bold in imagining a North Carolina where our state’s budget – which spends OUR MONEY – actually invests in the people of our state and creates the conditions in which every person can thrive.

Blueprint NC
Blueprint is a network of non-profit, non-partisan organizations working together across issues and racial lines to advance equity and social justice in North Carolina. They are also the North Carolina chapter of the national State Voices network. UU Justice NC became an official partner organization with Blueprint in 2021. They help nourish a joyful, leaderful movement to create a more safe and just North Carolina.

GreenFaith
GreenFaith works to build a worldwide, multi-faith movement to protect the planet and create a compassionate, loving and just world through personal, institutional and societal transformation. We are proud to work with GreenFaith on calls to direct action including the Stop Line 3 and Stop Formosa Plastics campaigns. We also work together on state-based actions to hold Duke Energy accountable and advocate for a clean energy future for North Carolina.

NC Poor People’s Campaign
The NC Poor People’s Campaign unites people across North Carolina to call for a moral revival and challenge systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, ecological devastation and religious nationalism. UUs across the state have proudly participated in PPC’s moral marches over the past decade in Raleigh and Washington D.C.! You Can Vote
You Can Vote trains and mobilizes volunteers to educate, register, and empower all North Carolina citizens to successfully cast their ballot. For years, UUs across the state have been engaged with You Can Vote serving as voter registration volunteers, Voting Rights Champions, election day help-desk support and more. You Can Vote has also led virtual and in-person trainings and education events for NC UU congregations about the history of NC voting rights and voter registration best practices!

Reclaim Our Vote
Reclaim Our Vote (a campaign of the Center for Common Ground) works to empower under-represented voters in voter suppression states to engage in elections and advocate for their right to vote. Our partnership with Reclaim Our Vote began during our 2020 UU the Vote Campaign, reaching out to voters of color in our state. That year, over 650 NC UUs got involved writing over 30,000 postcards and phone banking for thirteen straight weeks.
Since then, our partnership has deepened as we support Reclaim Our Votes new Monroe Democracy Center in Union County North Carolina. And in the fall of 2022, 20 UU congregations across North Carolina are coming together to write 27,000 Get Out the Vote postcards to voters of color in Cabarrus County. This is the largest collaborative effort in our state network’s history!

New North Carolina Project
Our newest partner! The New North Carolina Project’s mission is to make politics represent the needs of North Carolinians by investing in communities of color, expanding the engaged electorate and creating #LifelongVoters. They are building a more equitable North Carolina through targeted community ambassador programs, innovative data validity, strong partner relationships, deep canvassing, and a coordinated, state-wide field program.
In the fall of 2022 we're excited to partner with NNCP for our Carolina Jews and UUs Faith in Action Phone Bank! Eight Weeks of Phone Banking in partnership with the New North Carolina Project Foundation!
